Talk about being confused. I couldn't get the feed to go through the first 15 minutes or so. It kept saying it was an "invalid URL" and I didn't know what I was doing wrong, but then I finally got it figured out.
I like this feature because it's really neat how you can link to your favorite sites to keep up with any up-to-date news or whatever. I can see how the library staff would use this feature to keep informed and to apply it when assisting with various reference questions from patrons.
I had used the Google Reader to help me get started with the search. I knew I would really like to have the MSN website as my newsfeed because I'm most familiar with that one.

I learn a lot every time I need to go back and try things several times.
Also interesting to see how the creators of these services think - things that make perfect sense to them sometimes are very confusing to the user.
I think as librarians that we are able to put ourselves in the shoes of our users in order to help them - one of the things that gives our profession value.
